The participants of the press conference were – Yevgeniy Mironov – the Artistic Director of the Theatre of Nations; Timofey Kulyabin, Yevgeniy Kulagin, Luc Bondy (France) – the directors of the premiere performances of the Theatre of Nations.

During the last season the Theatre of Nations showed 8 premieres, with three performances dedicated to Shakespeare’s anniversary – Hamlet I Collage in the production of the prominent Canadian director Robert Lepage, The Taming Of The Shrew – directed by Roman Feodori, starring Chulpan Khamatova and the promenade-performance Shakespeare. The Labyrinth, directed by Filipp Grigoryan. Furthermore, the Theatre of Nations organised and carried out The Seventh International Festival-School «Territoria», The Twelfth «Small-Town Theaters of Russia» Festival, the Workshops to support the small-town theatres in Achinsk, Kronshtadt, Sviyazhsk, Taganrog, and Novoshakhtinsk. In addition to this, The Theatre of Nations took part in such festivals as - “NEXT” and “Autumn in Normandy” in Évreux and Lille (France), “Theatre” in Plesná, Prague, and Czechoslovakia, “The Tour of the Best Theatres of Russia in Yekaterinburg”, the Off programme V of the St. Petersburg Theatre Award Ceremony for the youth “Breakthrough 2013”, “De Teatro Santiago a Mil” festival in Santiago, Chile, “New plays from Europe” in Wiesbaden and Frankfurt. The Theatre of Nations performed on a major tour in St Petersburg on the stages of the Alexandrinsky Theatre, at the Winter Palace in Sochi as part of the «Big Arts» Festival under the direction of the National Artist of Russia and Sochi-2014 Ambassador - Yuri Bashmet; and took part in the programme of the second “Sakhalin Footlights” Festival in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

The Theatre of Nations started a new theatrical season in advance – on September 5 with the tour in Tula as part of the «Big Tour» programme of the Federal Centre on support of tour activities, on September 9 and 10 – as part of the Fourth International Cultural Forum “the Golden Mask” in Ulyanovsk, on September 7 – 10 days prior to the beginning of the new season – the Farce majeure concert took place during Moscow City Day celebrations at VDNKh.

During the season of 2014-2015 the Theatre of Nations will continue to work in two main directions. The first one is the experiments of the novice authors, directors, artists, choreographers, and performers on the Small Stage. Under this programme the new season will begin with the three premieres on the Small Stage. On September 17-18 #shakespeare'ssonnets, directed by Timofey Kulyabin and designed by Oleg Golovko premiered, on October 2-3 – the premiere of My Anomaly took place – directed, designed, choreographed and written by Mart Kango (Estonia) together with the Dialogue Dance Studio (Kostroma). On October 18 and 19 the first children's performance of the Theatre of Nations – The Nursery School Of Poetry will be shown, directed by Polina Struzhkova. In December on the Small Stage the premiere of the performance Russian romances in the production of Dmitry Volkostrelov will take place. This performance will be the first one in the cycle of 2015 on the topic of ''Russian classics”. The performance Pushkin’s Fairy Tales by the prominent director Robert Wilson will be shown as part of this programme, its premiere is scheduled to June 2015; as well as the play Marriage produced by Filipp Grigoryan, and the new production by Luc Bondy (France). One of the most important projects of the Theatre of Nations that has already been started to be worked on is – the social documentary project The Touchables, in partnership with the Charity organisation offering help to deaf-blind people. The authors of this project are – Ruslan Malikov, the director; Marina Krapivina, the playwright; Ekaterina Dzhagarova, the artist. The scenic sketch of this performance will be shown in October at the Ninth Festival-School of Contemporary Arts «Territoria». In November the performances of the international festival “The New European Theatre” will be shown on the stages of the Theatre of Nations. In September the Theatre of Nations plans to perform on a tour in Tbilisi, in November – in Yekaterinburg.
