A detective story for children from 8 years old

‘Beware of the Elves!’ is an interactive production for children created by Golden Mask nominees Maria Litvinova and Vyacheslav Ignatov, which also involves elements of shadow play theatre.

The story begins at a precinct, where an important case is being investigated: a girl is missing. And it seems that dangerous elves are somehow involved in this disappearance. Those elves are discreet and prompt in their actions: they tell marvelous stories to the children, submerging them deeper and deeper into the fantasy world, where it is so hard to escape from.

To have this mysterious disappearance of a little girl solved, professional elfologists will have to put together pieces of evidence and question some witnesses; and they will not be able to succeed without help of young detectives sitting in the audience, who will be recruited to form a search party.
