The Glass Menagerie

The autobiographical play by Tennessee Williams describes a story of a once prosperous family, where a despotic, but charming mother Amanda Wingfield is constantly terrorizing her grown up children. The director, Tufan Imamutdinov, goes beyond the problem of the generation gap, and covers a more important current issue of personal and individual freedom.

Each character is a self-sufficient person with a complicated character, having desires, needs and feelings. Amanda played by Marina Neyelova is more than simply a possessive mother. She is an individual who confronts the people she cares about.
