While the Theatre of Nations in Moscow is getting ready for the opening of its new season and the forthcoming premieres on the Small Stage, the rehearsals of Pushkin’s Fairy Tales – the main premiere of the season - have started in New York, directed by one of the most world renowned directors Robert Wilson. Pushkin’s Fairy Tales – is a major international project. Some rehearsals take place at the Watermill international centre in New York. Robert Wilson has worked with Isabelle Huppert, Willem Dafoe, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Jessye Norman, Marina Abramovic and many others. Each of his new works is bound to have a global impact and to get invited to the world’s leading festivals. Robert Wilson is an award-winning director; among his awards are the most prestigious American «Drama Desk Awards», «The Golden Lion» of the Venice Biennale, and the Laurence Olivier Award.

The performance will take place on the Main Stage of the Theatre of Nations and will portray several Pushkin’s fairy tales. The music is composed by CocoRosie – who are widely known among music lovers. The musicians will attend the Moscow premiere.

At the audition Robert Wilson has chosen the Russian actors for the performance himself. They are – Darya Moroz, Anna Galinova, Elena Nikolayeva, Oleg Savcov, Dmitry Serduk and others. The narrator is Yevgeny Mironov.

The premiere – will take place in June 2015.
